Master Thesis: Printed Electronics Design Methodology

Description

Nowadays most of the microelectonic applications are based on silicon Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technologies. In addition, circuit designers are supported by highly-available and well-developed design flows for developing such silicon based microelecronic systems. On the other hand, Printed Electronics (PE) opens new fields of applications, where silicon-based devices are not feasible or too expensive. Unfortunately, standardized design flows as it is common for conventional CMOS technologies are rare and also mostly specialized for devices based on organic materials in PE.

In this project we want to optimize our design flow by adding the missing design tools automation scripts. You may need to know any programming or scripting languages as well as the general understanding of digital design. Basic knowledge of industrial standard design toolds (Cadence Virtuoso) is a plus.
