Short Bio
Muhammad Shakeel Akram is a research-oriented intern with the CDNC at KIT, Germany, funded by the UK s Turing Mobility Scheme through Ulster University, UK. His work at CDNC focuses on hardware security solutions tailored to healthcare applications. Currently pursuing a PhD at Ulster University in Reconfigurable Accelerators for AI in Cardiology, he has also earned a Master s degree in Sparse Vector Processors from BUITEMS University, Pakistan. His research interests encompass AI training on edge devices, DNN FPGA accelerators, secure federated learning, TinyML, and sparse architectures, with a strong emphasis on advancing healthcare technologies.
