Description

Energy-efficiency becomes an important issue in modern battery operated devices such as mobile phones. One way to improve energy-efficiency is to reduce the accuracy as much as possible which allows applications to use limited resource and run faster. Vast majority of signal processing applications are tolerable for accuracy reduction. Hence, one can design low-power implementation of those applications. The goal of this work is to perform software and hardware level approximation for energy-efficient design.

 

 

 

Requirements: Programming skills: C/ C++, Logic Design (VHDL/ Verilog)
